OUR SUSTAINABILITY JOURNEY

Setting a new standard for accessible luxury jewellery – shaped by ambitious sustainability targets, transparent progress and brilliant design.

A new kind of brilliance

At Pandora, we set some of the industry’s most ambitious sustainability targets. From embedding circularity and low-carbon practices in the various stages of our products’ journey to upholding fairness and inclusion across our global operations - we’re continuously setting new benchmarks for crafting quality at scale. And we hold ourselves accountable – tracking progress, reporting transparently, and linking performance to our long-term incentives and financing.

WHERE SHINE COMES FULL CIRCLE

Since 2024, all our jewellery is made with 100% recycled silver and gold sourced from certified, responsible refiners. These metals are infinitely recyclable, meaning their beauty and quality never fade – only continue their journey in new forms. And the impact is real: by choosing recycled instead of newly-mined silver and gold, we avoid around 58,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.

TOWARDS A net-zero FUTURE

We’re on track to cut our greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030 and reach net-zero by 2040. How? Since 2024 for example, all our owned operations have run on 100% renewable electricity – powered by on-site solar panels and local solar projects.

CRAFTED WITH CARE

For over 35 years, artisans at our crafting facilities in Thailand have blended time-honoured techniques with modern craftsmanship. We also continuously test our products’ safety, making Pandora the first company in Thailand certified to the ISO standard for testing and calibration.

A CLEANER CUT DIAMOND

Since 2022, Pandora has worked exclusively with lab-grown diamonds. Each diamond is grown, cut and polished using 100% renewable electricity, reducing its carbon footprint to the absolute minimum. Graded by the same 4Cs as mined diamonds, these above-ground gems prove that innovation can replicate – and even match – nature’s brilliance.

Putting our people first

With 40,000+ employees worldwide, we aim to create a safe, respectful and empowered workplace. We support this by aligning with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and clear diversity goals, such as achieving gender-balanced leadership by 2030.

Together, we create change

Since 2019, our partnership with UNICEF has helped over 2.4 million children access education and brighter futures. Here, our Empower Through Learning approach supports programmes across Thailand, Vietnam and China, while also providing flexible funding for UNICEF’s critical global work. Locally, Pandora has led initiatives like Thailand’s My School Project to help construct and renovate rural schools for nearly two decades.

Managing resources responsibly

In 2024, we reached a 23% water recycling rate – part of our approach to safeguard vital water resources. With around 90% of our water used in crafting processes like cleaning and plating, careful management is essential. By monitoring consumption in high-risk areas and prioritising efficiency, we can protect local water supplies and support freshwater ecosystems. Alongside water, we are also committed to recycling waste throughout our operations, ensuring materials are reused wherever possible.
