Recycling rate of 90%
In addition to reducing carbon emissions, we continuously work to reduce our wider environmental footprint. Last year, more than 90% of waste at our crafting facilities was recycled.
Pandora’s crafting facilities in Thailand are among the most modern and energy efficient in the industry. Our crafting facilities in Thailand account for half of our global energy consumption, and in 2020 we switched to 100% renewable energy supplied by local solar projects. At the same time, we are committed to reducing or recycling waste materials and water at our crafting facilities.
Pandora for UNICEF
Together, we support young voices. Pandora and UNICEF have partnered to support the most vulnerable children, especially girls, around the world, in leading healthier and safer lives and to fulfil their potential. The aim of the three-year partnership is to raise funds for UNICEF to empower children and young people by supporting UNICEF programmes for education, gender equality, rights awareness, personal empowerment and civic engagement.
Our presence in Thailand
Our crafting facilities in Thailand provide safe and healthy working conditions for over 11,000 employees. We are focused on ensuring our employees have access to proper health services. This includes health promotion activities, wellbeing programmes, 24-hour nurse cover, access to library, on-site canteens and much more.
Impact through suppliers
We aim to work with suppliers that share our commitment to sustainability, and over the last few years Pandora has taken steps to better align our responsible sourcing programme with our sustainability ambitions. Our category-specific approach to responsible sourcing seeks to continuously improve our performance around three objectives: responsibility, traceability and transparency.
