CLASSIFICATION: Man-made stone
A nano crystal is an entirely man-made invention and does not exist in nature.
The name refers to its crystallised structure and it is often referred to as 'nano crystal' because it contains nanometre-sized particles of oxides and silicates.
Pandora’s product code for synthetic crystal is ‘N’.
With a hardness of 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale of hardness, and good toughness, man-made crystal is durable and therefore suitable for use on all types of jewellery.
When wearing man-made crystals, avoid rough handling. You should also store your jewellery separately to avoid scratches. For additional care information, please visit our care guide.
